Check out summer fun at new Cosley Zoo website

Cosley Zoo has introduced a new mobile-friendly website, cosleyzoo.org, in time for visitors to learn about the zoo's summer programs.

Cosley Zoo's day camps are designed for the youngest nature and animal lovers. Camps include Farmyard Fun, Creature Features, Backyard Buddies and Animal Tales, all for ages 4 to 7; CZI: Cosley Zoo Investigations for ages 8 to 11; and Zoo Crew for ages 12 to 15).

Individual and family programs include Bookworms, Fundamentals of Zookeeping, Morning Chores, Zoo Tots, and Zoo Investigators. Daily activities include chicken feeding, bobcats backstage, discovery stations, eco-exploration backpack tours, and duck feeding.

The zoo also has several special events during the summer: Zoo Nightlife on Friday, June 19; Uncorked Wine Tasting on Thursday, July 16, for ages 21 and older; and Llama Llama Character Day on Thursday, Aug. 13.

Nestled on five acres at 1356 N. Gary Ave., Wheaton, Cosley Zoo is home to farm animals and native Illinois wildlife. Visitors will discover exhibits that house white-tailed deer, red fox, blanding's turtles, bobcats, a coyote, a black-crowned night heron and more. Cosley Zoo is also a haven for animal education and conservation, offering programs that teach young and old how to care for the world around them and give back to the communities in which they live, work and play.
