Police: Woman fatally shoots man, wounds girl in Detroit

DETROIT (AP) - Police say a woman fatally shot a man and wounded an 8-year-old girl on Detroit's west side.

Police say the shooting happened about 5:20 p.m. Monday at a home and the girl was hospitalized in stable condition. The 38-year-old woman was taken into custody.

Names of those involved weren't released. Police didn't immediately describe the woman's relationship to the man and child.
