Roosevelt Road back open after major accident

A traffic accident involving at least four vehicles closed down a large section of Roosevelt Road that runs through Oakbrook Terrace on Friday night. There were several injuries and at least one person had to be extricated from a vehicle, police confirmed. The accident occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. Roosevelt Road was closed for at least 2 hours as police and medical personnel cleared the wreckage and helped those with injuries. The road was re-opened by 11:30 p.m.
