Wheaton's Fun Run in Color will close streets

There will be road closures this Saturday in Wheaton to accommodate the route of the Wheaton Park District's Fun Run in Color.

The race begins at 8 a.m. The following streets will temporarily be closed for the event: North Main Street from Harrison Avenue to Seminary Avenue; West Street from Northside Park to Seminary Avenue; Prairie Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street; Madison Avenue from Cross Street to West Street; Lincoln Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street; Jefferson Avenue from Wheaton Avenue to West Street; Union Avenue from Hale Street to West Street; and Wheaton Avenue from Prairie Avenue to Franklin Street.

Police officers will be on hand to direct traffic. The roads will remain closed from about 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
