Northwest suburban high schoolers head back to class
More than 12,000 high school students in the Northwest suburbs headed back to classes Wednesday as Northwest Suburban High School District 214 celebrated the first day of the 2014-2015 school year.
Students at Buffalo Grove High School started the year with a festive pep rally led by new Principal Jeff Wardle, while their peers at Hersey, Wheeling, Prospect, Elk Grove and Rolling Meadows high schools also returned to campus for the start of the new school year.
