Congressmen host Palatine job fair

Congressmen Tammy Duckworth and Brad Schneider are hosting a hiring event Thursday at Harper College in Palatine.

Jobseekers will have the chance to meet face-to-face with more than 40 employers who are expected to participate in the job fair. Each employer is seeking to fill at least one position, officials said.

The event will be open exclusively to veterans from 9 to 10 a.m., and then to the general public from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will be held at the college's Wojcik Conference Center, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
