Own up to pension mess, legislators

To Elaine Nekritz who said the following in the Daily Herald pension article May 9: "We are now going to be facing this problem for the next 50 years. And that makes me sad for Illinois," I would say the following:

It took you, the legislature, 50 years to get us into this mess and it's probably going to take you, the legislature, 50 years to get us out. Own up to it and deal with it.
