I have served in my community since we moved here in 2010. I truly enjoy public service, and how I can offer my skills to help our community grow. I think I offer a different viewpoint and can contribute in a meangingful way.What is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales and property taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.The sales taxes are at an appropriate level. The property taxes, while high, provide excellent public services, from schools to public works. However, FRG only obtains a small portion of the taxes. This amount is vital to the operation and devolpment of the Village.Rate the efficiency of your town's police and fire coverage. Are the departments well prepared for the next decade? What, if anything, should be changed? Do you have specific public safety concerns?Excellent. Yes, both departments are well prepared for the next decade. I have no public safety concerns. I have heard of no significant concerns from residents. I will always listen if either department wants to discuss any concerns.Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?The current budget is needed to provide the neccesary services the Village must deliver. The Village must search for additional revenue to provide for both operational and capital needs.What's one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?The expansion of annual events in our Village. From the Norge events, to the car show, to our Summerfest, are an excellent showcase for our area. I think this exposure is important.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?All issues, which concern our residents are important. However, my main concern is the downtown and surrounding devolpment.Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Pope Francis.What's the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Always work hard, do your best, and take responsibility for your actions.If life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?I would spend more time with my late mother.What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?I've had many favorite subjects, and teachers in life.
