Schaumburg Fill the Boot Drive Benefiting MDA Chicago

CHICAGO, IL- On Saturdays, August 15th, 22nd & 29th the Schaumburg Fire Department will once again be Filling the Boot to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Over the past five years Schaumburg Firefighters have raised over $15,000 in the fight against muscle disease. This year, Firefighter Ryan Kelly and the Schaumburg Fire Department have a goal of raising $9,000 to help send kids in the Chicago area to Summer Camp.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association, along with the Schaumburg Fire Department invite supporters of MDA programs, services and research initiatives to donate to these brave local heroes at the intersections of Schaumburg Rd & Meacham Rd., Plum Grove Rd. & Schaumburg Rd. or Schaumburg Rd. & Roselle Rd. on August 15th, 22nd & 29th. MDA Chicago District provides critical programs and services to thousands of families throughout the area, including Clinics, support groups, equipment assistance, online support services, advocacy, public and professional health education and the Summer Camp program.

This year, the Schaumburg Fire Department and MDA Chicago are once again partnering up in the fight against muscle disease and we hope you will join us throughout August at our Fill the Boot Drive.

MDA is the world's leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
