District 128 to offer STEM courses for kids
District 128's Community Education has announced that its program will provide STEM classes for children this spring and summer. Working with Lake County Engineering for Kids, the classes present engineering concepts in a fun way that the kids enjoy.
"I've heard, 'Do I have to go home now?' when it's time for the children to leave at the end of class," said Diane Phillips, director of community education. "I want to be a kid again so that I can take these classes."
Classes include Industrial Engineering, Lego Robotics: Adventure Stories, Amazing Mechanisms, Rescue Robots, Ocean Missions, and Robo Battles; Marine Engineering, Mechanical Toys Engineering; Software Engineering and many more.
For complete class descriptions and schedules, visit the Community Education Web page at www.ComEd128.org or call (847) 247-4576 to request a catalog.
