Those who do not vaccinate need restrictions
The great thing about our country is that we have the freedom to make choices. While we may not all agree on everything, we do agree that as an American we should be able to make our own decisions on the raising and well-being of our children.
For those parents who selfishly decide to not vaccinate their children against various diseases, that is your choice. However there needs to be an understanding and laws need to be passed that bring with those decisions some consequences.
First, any child not vaccinated is not allowed to go to any school outside of the house until they are vaccinated. Secondly, anyone not vaccinated is not allowed to go out in public, ever, until vaccinated. This means no soccer, no jobs, no church, not ever out in public, period.
While this seems harsh to some, the danger is that we are setting ourselves up for some real health problems if we don't get diseases that were supposed to be long gone, wiped out once again.
For those that believe some Hollywood star and not the medical community, I'm afraid there is little anyone can say or do to change your mind, so just stay inside so your child doesn't infect half the town. Be responsible and get your family vaccinated.
