Trinity offers series on bioethical issues from a biblical perspective
Trinity Graduate School invites members of the community to a series of evenings with Christian leaders in bioethics, beginning January 27. The programs are held in the Kantzer Auditorium on the Deerfield campus, from 7:00-8:30 pm. Each evening includes a presentation on a specific topic with time for discussion, followed by refreshments. The events are free and open to the public.
On January 27, John Kilner, MDiv, PhD, Professor of Bioethics and Contemporary Culture at Trinity, will speak about Engaging Bioethical Challenges through Theology (e.g., the Image of God).
On February 17, Daniel Sulmasy, MD, PhD, Member of the U.S. Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues (and Professor at the University of Chicago) will speak about Engaging Bioethical Challenges through Public Policy (e.g., in Washington, DC).
On March 24, Claretta Dupree, RN, PhD, Ethicist, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Data Safety Monitoring Board, will speak about Engaging Bioethical Issues through Social Media (e.g., Facebook/Twitter).
Trinity Graduate School, part of Trinity International University, is located at 2065 Half Day Road in Deerfield. There is no admission fee for these evenings, and all are welcome.
