Lisle Park District photo contest winners announced

The winners of Lisle Park District's 2014 Photography Contest were announced with awards given for first place, second place, third place and honorable mention.

The award for first place was presented to Lisle resident Eileen Kosar for her photograph of the shadows cast by the landscape in Lisle Community Park as the sun set over the water. Her photo is now on display in the Lisle Park District Recreation Center lobby, 1925 Ohio St.

The second-place honor was awarded to Janae Kinn, a 22-year-old Lisle resident, for her fun-loving portrait of a canine friend resting in the vibrant leaves at Lisle Community Park.

The third-place photograph was taken by Lisle resident Luann Kohlmeyer and portrays her 4-year-old son leisurely fishing in the pond at Lisle Community Park. Honorable mention was given to Lisle resident Mary Harmon for her close-up of a serene butterfly resting on pink flower buds at Lisle Community Park.

All four photographs can be seen in the 2015 Lisle Park District Winter/Spring brochure, which is now available, and on the Lisle Park District website, lisleparkdistrict.org/photographycontest.
