just another day in Blackhawks-land.
With Carcillo (lower body) healthy and ready to roll, the Hawks opted to send Regin (1 assist in four games) back to Rockford.
"We'll get (Carcillo) back in the lineup and that's our 12 forwards for tomorrow," coach Joel Quenneville on Saturday. "(Regin) didn't play bad. He was all right. He got off to a decent start down there as well; so tough when you say that, but numbers are part of it."
Carcillo has been out of the lineup since being injured in a game against St. Louis on Oct. 25.
After practice Saturday, the Hawks recalled Nordstrom. The IceHogs' captain has 8 points in 14 games with Rockford this season.
As for the Hawks' lines, Quenneville had Hossa skating with Jonathan Toews and Brandon Saad, while Kane was with Richards and Kris Versteeg on the second line. Carcillo, Andrew Shaw and Bryan Bickell made up the third line.
Move on:
After a night to sleep on it, coach Joel Quenneville was ready to put the Hawks' turnover-laden loss to Detroit behind him.
"Mistakes are part of our game at different levels." he said of Friday's 4-1 loss. "Mistakes happen because you're not doing the right things. Learning from them is a different thing, so let's make sure we correct it and get excited about doing things the right way."
