Path being considered near school

Officials are considering building a path that would make it safer for students walking between Stevenson High School and the nearby Vernon Hills Town Center shopping plaza. The Stevenson High board has authorized an engineering study for the proposed path along Port Clinton Road. The school would team with the villages of Lincolnshire and Vernon Hills to fund and build the path, if it progresses, officials said.
