IHOP to replace Schaumburg Denny's

A new IHOP restaurant is expected to open late this year in the former Denny's building at 1700 E. Higgins Road in Schaumburg, just west of the Streets of Woodfield shopping center.

Extensive interior and exterior renovations are expected to be made before the opening, which an on-site representative Wednesday estimated to be in mid-December.

The 5,500-square-foot Denny's was built in 1981 - in conjunction with the adjacent LaQuinta Inn - and closed at the beginning of 2015.
