Schaumburg Offers Free Memory Screenings in November

The Village of Schaumburg is offering free, confidential memory screenings in November to residents. The screenings are part of National Memory Screenings, an initiative of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) designed to promote proper detection of memory problems and provide education about successful aging.

Screenings will take place the following dates:

Monday, Nov. 2 - noon to 4 p.m. at the Nursing Division, 521 E. Schaumburg Rd.

Thursday, Nov. 5 - 1 to 5 p.m. at the Prairie Center for the Arts, 201 E. Schaumburg Rd.

Monday, Nov. 16 - 1 to 4 p.m. at the Nursing Division, 521 E. Schaumburg Rd.

The face-to-face, noninvasive screening takes about 40 minutes and consists of a series of questions and tasks. It is administered by one of the registered nurses at the Village of Schaumburg and the results are confidential.
