Christmas extravaganza includes comedic skits

The 11th annual Christmas Extravaganza and Dinner will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at 930 W. Higgins Road, in Schaumburg.

This annual celebration is a Christmas-themed program centered around the telling of the story of the birth of Christ with music and comedic skits. This year's program is titled "Lights…Camera…Christ is Born!" and features music performed by Prince of Peace Adult and Handbell Choirs, instrumentalists and Sunday school children.

The program is designed to evoke memories of 1970s era television variety shows. Prince of Peace Ddirector of Music Scott Uddenberg directs. A potluck dinner will follow.

Admission is free; a freewill offering will be collected.
