DEA Nation hosts Christmas dinner for local families
Submitted by Sarah Olesen
DEA Nation and its local partners, Smart Sinus of Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates Park District and Windsor Lift Body Center, do it again and provide a Christmas meal to more than 200 local residents.
Before dinner, guests were greeted by Santa Claus. Family pictures were taken as the guests moved into the dining hall at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club, where a meal of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, pie and more was served by more than 40 volunteers.
After the meal, families moved back downstairs where 130 wrapped gifts were distributed to every child. Kids raced down the hall to rip off the wrapping paper and show their parents and grandparents what they received.
DEA Nation cannot extend enough thank yous to those who helped make this event possible. Sponsors and supporters include: Smart Sinus and Allergy of Schaumburg, Windsor's Lift Body Center, Hoffman Estates Park District, Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club of Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg Business Association, School District 54, Robb Davidson Photography, Toys for Tots, Illinois House Representative from the 44th District Fred Crespo, and 56th district representative candidate Jillian Bernas.
