Maid accused of stealing diamond ring in Wheaton

A Downers Grove maid has been accused of stealing a diamond ring from a client in Wheaton.

Joanna Jarosz, 32, of the 7000 block of Winthrop Way, stole the ring while she was working in the victim's house Oct. 2, the DuPage County state's attorney's office said Thursday in a news release.

Jarosz has been charged with one count of felony residential burglary. She turned herself in to Wheaton police Thursday morning, the state's attorney's office said, and was released after posting $300 bond.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 27 in front of Judge Jeffrey MacKay.
