M. Holland inks deal with Esenttia

NORTHBROOK - M. Holland Latinoamerica Thursday announced that it has agreed to distribute polypropylene in Mexico for Esenttia, a subsidiary of the Ecopetrol business group of Colombia S.A.

Based in Mexico City, M. Holland Latinoamerica is a partnership between M. Holland Company and Grupo Solquim and was formed earlier this year to provide a platform for M. Holland Company's expansion in Mexico and Latin America.

"We're proud to be associated with a great supplier like Esenttia," said M. Holland Company CEO and President Ed Holland. "It's a fantastic addition to our line card and provides our customers with an additional source of high quality polypropylene during a time of tight supply."

"Our objective is to not only build a distribution infrastructure to service all of Mexico and Latin America, but to establish the premier product portfolio in the market," Holland added. "Our association with Esenttia is a further step in our progress."

For more than 65 years, M. Holland has been a family-owned distributor of application-specific resins, with strategically placed warehouse, packaging and bulk terminal locations across North America. The company serves about 4,000 customers supplying well over a billion pounds of resin annually sourced from premier resin producers in the world. Earlier this year, the company expanded into Latin America with the formation of M. Holland Latinoamerica.

Esenttia is a Colombian company, a subsidiary of the Ecopetrol business group, and produces polypropylene, polyethylene and masterbatches.
