Police seize 54 pounds of marijuana near Spring Grove

A 43-year-old man is facing charges after police seized 54 pounds of marijuana and more than $230,000 in cash from his home in unincorporated Lake County, authorities said.

Roger L. Lambrecht, of the 31000 block of Pineview Boulevard, near Spring Grove, has been charged with one count of possession of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis and one count of possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver more than 5,000 grams.

The McHenry County sheriff's police narcotics task force executed a search warrant of Lambrecht's residence Thursday along with the newly formed Lake County sheriff's office gang task force, which began June 29.

Lambrecht's bond was set at $150,000. He is due in court Tuesday morning.
