Earth Day and recycling event

The Mundelein Park & Recreation District and Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will host and Earth Day and Recycling event from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22 at the Dunbar Recreation Center, 888 Dunbar Road, Mundelein. The event features live music, a video presentation regarding waste reduction, activities and crafts, a recycling experiment and an eco-friendly scavenger hunt. Textile, bike and latex paint drop off (for a small fee/container) and shredding will be available. The first 125 people will receive a free red or Burr Oak tree. Visit mundeleinparks.org or Facebook.
