Sugar Grove Park District honors Betty Rich

On Tuesday, June 10, the Sugar Grove Park District will dedicate the play area of Dugan Woods West Park in memory of Betty Rich.

The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. at the park, 1944 Fays Lane. Take Route 47 north, head west on Route 30 to Dugan Road. Turn south on Dugan Road to Fay's Lane. Head east and follow road around to the park.

Mrs. Rich, a longtime Sugar Grove resident who died in 2013 at age 73, was instrumental in the development of the park and play area. She had a fondness for children and recreation. A new plaque will recognize her kindness and support.
