Patrick Kane accuser's attorney to hold news conference Wednesday
The attorney who represents a woman who alleges that she was sexually assaulted by hockey star Patrick Kane will hold his first news conference on the matter at noon Wednesday.
Thomas J. Eoannou has represented the woman since shortly after Aug. 2, the date when she alleges that Kane assaulted her in his Town of Hamburg home after meeting her in a downtown Buffalo night club and inviting her to a private gathering at the home. Kane has not been charged with a crime.
Since the investigation began, Eoannou has made no public statements about the case and has repeatedly declined to comment on reports about the probe. An assistant in his office declined to discuss the specific subject matter of the news conference or to say whether the accuser will be there.
Town of Hamburg Police and the Erie County district attorney's office are investigating the allegations.
