Fish fry Fridays in full swing in Northwest suburbs
Friday night fish frys are a suburban tradition for many during Lent, drawing hundreds of participants.
Many of the fish frys put on by local groups charge $10 or less, with lower prices for children. And many of the organizations donate some of the proceeds to charity or use the money for good works.
Among the places in the Northwest suburbs holding fish frys today are:
• Prospect Moose Lodge #660, 601 N Main St., Mount Prospect, from 6 to 8 p.m.
• St. Raymond de Penafort Catholic Church, Elmhurst Avenue and Lincoln Street, Mount Prospect, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
• The Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, starting at 4 p.m.
• American Legion Post 690, 122 W. Palatine Road, Palatine, from 5 to 8 p.m.
