Warrenville hosts Feb. 26 open house to review zoning code update

The City of Warrenville will hold an open house on a proposed zoning code update on Monday, Feb. 26.

It will be from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the city hall council chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place, Warrenville.

The city wants to use zoning to attract private sector investment and provide different types of housing in key areas of the community, while ensuring new buildings and sites maintain the city’s small-town feel.

At this meeting, residents will learn about the proposed zoning changes and have a chance to comment.

There are two main focus areas:

• Butterfield Road and Batavia Road;

• Warrenville Road and Batavia Road.

Goals include:

• Creating walkable, vibrant, village-like centers;

• Encouraging mixed-use development;

• Providing a variety of housing types.
