Movin' On

Movin' On is a nondenominational social group whose purpose is to provide a welcoming, social situation exclusively for widowed men and women in the northwest suburbs.

These events are scheduled for January:

• Meeting, 7 p.m. Jan. 10, at St. Thomas School, Rooms 1 and 2. Game Night; hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be served. Try your luck at LCR or bring a game of your choosing. Have some small change available for the games. This is a good time to visit with fellow members and welcome some new ones.

• Dinner, Saturday, Jan. 19, cocktails at 5 p.m. dinner at 6 p.m. Join the group at Buca Di Beppo, 604 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, (847) 808-9898.

They are now serving Buca Mio single servings sizes ranging in price from $8.99 to $15.99. You can still order the Buca Small serving 2 or more, or Buca Large serving 4 or more. Order from the menu. Envelopes will be provided. Buca has a varied menu from pastas, meat, seafood and vegetarian entrees and pizza.

The first 25 reservations received will be seated together. Additional reservationsmay be seated in other areas.

• Happy Hour, 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at McCormick & Schmick's, 1140 E. Higgins Road, Schaumburg with $1.95 menu in the bar area with a two drink minimum until 6:30 p.m. which includes burgers, quesadilla, salmon cakes, bruschetta or mussels.

A $3.95 menu offers buffalo wings, ribs, chicken fingers or dips and chips. Mark your calendars, this sounds like a winner.
