Cary board gives unanimous nod to new finance director
On Dec. 4, the Cary Village Board unanimously approved Mayor Steve Lamal's appointment of Ronald Pfeiffer as the village's new finance director. Pfeiffer is scheduled to begin work in Cary this month.
Pfeiffer is a Certified Public Accountant who currently serves the village of Lincolnwood as that community's director of finance.
"I am happy to have the opportunity to appoint an individual with the experience and integrity of Ron Pfeiffer," Lamal said.
"Director Pfeiffer's expertise will be a wonderful complement to the village's already outstanding Finance staff," Lamal said. "Ron exemplifies the type of individual that the citizens of the village of Cary have come to expect in a leadership role in the community."
In addition to his position in Lincolnwood, Pfeiffer currently serves as treasurer of the Intergovernmental Risk Management Association, a governmental insurance pool of which the village of Cary is a member.
The mayor and village board approved a salary for Pfeiffer of $109,000.
