Chair hockey raises $25,000

The "R-Game for Chair-ity" Chair Hockey Tournament was held at Rieke Office Interiors in late October.

Approximately $25,000 was raised for charity. The games were played by 12 teams from the greater Elgin area in two indoor rinks.

All participants were seated in Eurotech ErgoHuman office chairs, fueled with ample refreshments and plenty of competitive spirit to benefit Easter Seals DuPage Fox Valley Region's Positioning and Mobility Clinic.

First-place winners are: C3 Circle, a team of area business men and women. The players were Diane Crawford, Sheila Schmidt, Kevin Schmidt, Ryan Dinelli, Jim Rathe, Bill Pierrakeas, Scott Hansen and Jason White.

Second-place winners are Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin, and third place went to United Engravers of Schaumburg, who also won the team uniform contest with their "Dunder Mifflin Paper Co." T-shirts, based on the TV show "The Office."
