Environmental group to hold book sale

The Defenders used book sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday until the end of December at 1146 McConnell Road, behind the Farm Bureau Building.

There are thousands of books in stock, sorted by category with more to be shelved. All books are in good condition and most are priced from 25 cents to $2. There also are children's videos and books on tape ranging from 25 cents to $1.

Coffee table books are priced at $5 or less. Entertainment savings books for 2008 also are available for $20.

All proceeds will benefit the McHenry County Defenders, a local nonprofit environmental organization in McHenry County for more than 35 years.
