There should be no Americans in Iraq
One of the unfortunate results of the polite Pelosi/Reid treatment of the Bush administration has been an arrogant and defiant continuation of policies contrary to what a majority of Americans favor.
The latest repudiation of democracy is the announced agreement with the Iraqi puppet regime to a permanent presence in Iraq of the United States.
It has also been without allowing the Senate to approve, through the treaty process, this long-term commitment of American troops.
Why is there no outcry? Why is the so-called liberal media not crying foul, unconstitutional, dictatorial?
Just as the American people have been tranquilized by the media's reporting of a lull in violence in Iraq, Bush moves to make his war the chains around the necks of future Americans. The benchmarks have been erased from memory.
No Americans in Iraq! This means no American citizen should be in Iraq. Our presence has been immoral and un-American. We should even put our diplomatic representation in the hands of some neutral party such as the Swiss embassy. No troops, no NGOs, no tourists, no American corporations, no mercenaries -- no Americans.
We have so contaminated this nation, killing over a million since our invasion and occupation. We should abandon our military bases and embassy. We should issue an apology to the Iraqi people.
Support the troops: End the war and the occupation.
