Cary announces lights contest winners

The village of Cary has announced the winners of the 2007 Cary Holiday Lights Contest.

The winner of the Kid's Favorite is the Wozniak family at 233 Coyote Trail.

For Best Use of Lights, the winner is the Schweigel family at 945 Ridgewood Drive.

For Best Outdoor Holiday Tree, the winner is the Fretts family at 726 Merrimac St.

The winner of the Holiday Spirit Award is the Markham family at 340 Oriole Trail.

The winner of the Best Overall Display is the Detwiller family at 61 Burton St.

Winners will receive a poinsettia and a congratulatory letter from the village.

In addition, the village would like to recognize the following honorable mentions: 1002 Nighthawk Way, 205 Foxford Drive, 338 W. Main St., 335 Foxford Drive, 342 Foxford Drive, 336 Parkstone Drive, 441 White Oaks Drive, 444 White Oaks Drive, 445 White Oaks Drive, 1020 White Pine Drive, 1040 White Pine Drive, 455 Catkins Way, 3 Thornhill Court, 446 Wentworth Circle, 325 Lloyd St., 115 E. James Way, 121 E. James Way, 588 Alida Drive, 260 Moraine Hill Drive.

And 976 Chancery Lane, 1001 Woodbridge Drive, 97 Asbury Lane, 759 Laurel Lane, 1329 Collins, 708 Big Sky Trail, 720 Big Sky Trail, 740 Big Sky Trail, 1027 Dove Way, and 1038 Dove Way. Finally, the prettiest light tours were down Augusta Lane and Foxford Drive.
