A meeting of citizen's forming a referendum committee for the Fox Lake Public Library will meet at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the Patryn Residence, 36364 N. Hawthorne Lane, Ingleside. Donate hair for a cause

Want to donate your hair to a worthy cause? Chicago stylist Vita Novak, who has trained with elite stylists in Europe, will cut hair on Dec. 10 at International Hair Designs Salon, 860 W. Route 22, at North Lake Commons, Lake Zurich. The charity event is a collaboration between Trendy Hair Now and Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Give the gift of golf;

The Lake County Forest Preserve District has gift cards available for use at any of its three courses. The gift cards are available in any amount and can be redeemed at Brae Loch in Grayslake, Countryside in Mundelein and Thunderhawk in Beach Park. The cards can be used for a round of golf with car, private or group lessons, towels, clothing, balls, bag tags and other items. The cards are available at Countryside, on Hawley Street just west of Route 60/83. The pro shop is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Thursday sand from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays to Mondays.
