Batavia

• Yessica I. Tellez, 20, of 464 Wood St., Aurora, was charged with battery after an incident at 701 N. Kirk Road at 10:40 p.m. Sunday, according to a police report.

Geneva

• A model of human vertebrae, a blood pressure monitoring cuff, a bag with a reflex-testing hammer and other chiropractic diagnostic tools, a vial of a dietary supplement and a laptop computer were reported stolen from Fox Valley Physical Medicine, 417 Williamsburg Ave., between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 9:45 a.m. Saturday. The burglar threw a pumpkin that decorated the entrance at a window to break it and entered. The burglar ransacked several of the rooms, prying open file cabinets and turning over medical and office equipment and a kitchen trash can. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

North Aurora

• Jordan P. Mrowczynski, 27, of 136 S. Edgelawn Drive, Aurora, was charged with battery after an incident at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at 945 Oak St., according to a police report.

• Veronica M. Lane, 28, of 1780 Felton Road, Apt. 4, Aurora, was charged with deceptive practices after she wrote two checks from a closed account at Woodman's, 151 Hansen Blvd., at 10:49 a.m. Thursday, according to a police report.

• Trista J. Gilmore, 26, of 1013 Naples Drive, Herrin, Ill., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on South Lincolnway near Interstate 88 at 8:49 p.m. Nov. 4, according to a police report.

St. Charles

• Marcus V. Baltimore, 40, of 273 Windsor Court, South Elgin, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. Monday and charged with retail theft after stealing $157 in liquor and beer from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road, police said. Baltimore is accused of leaving the store without paying for a shopping cart full of items.

• Colleen E. Milnes, 23, of 2441 N. Maple St., Franklin Park, and Alexandria K. Burdi, 18, of 1531 Southgate Road, Bartlett, were arrested at 3 p.m. Thursday and each charged with retail theft after stealing $265 in clothes from Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., police said. Burdi was also charged with criminal trespass because she was banned from the store after a theft complaint in 2003, according to a police report. Milnes and Burdi were each released on their own recognizance with Dec. 6 court dates.

• A 53-inch Panasonic television valued at $2,300 was reported stolen Sunday from a house on the 1400 block of South Elm Street.

• Two vehicle doors valued at $1,000 total were scratched and dented Sunday or Monday on the first block of East Main Street.

Kane County

• Someone used an Elburn woman's telephone account to purchase seven Nextel phones, valued at $2,082. The fraud happened between Sept. 28 and noon Oct. 29 on the 40W600 block of Denali Road. The phone company's records indicated the person placing the order gave an address of the 200 block of University in Glenwood.

• Between midnight and 7 a.m. Saturday, someone damaged three tires on a 1994 Chrysler Sebring while it was parked in the driveway of a house on the 8N400 block of Gordon Lane in South Elgin. Damage is estimated at $700. Police believe air was let out.

• At 7:30 p.m. Saturday someone shot a paintball at a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder at Hughes Road and Herrington Drive in Geneva. The driver's-side rear fender was dented.

• James L. Fritz, 17, of 191 Meadows Drive, Sugar Grove, was charged with possession of cannabis, 30 grams or fewer, at 8:26 p.m. Nov. 9 on Route 47 in Elburn. His passenger, Matthew D. Hladilek, 18, of 409 Center St., Maple Park, was also charged with possession of cannabis, 30 grams or fewer. The marijuana was found in a plastic bag on the floor of the passenger side after an officer stopped the car because it drove fast past his stopped squad car when he was helping a motorist change a flat tire. Fritz also was charged with failure to yield to a stationary emergency vehicle. Both were given a Dec. 5 court date.

• At 10:40 a.m. Thursday, someone drove a truck into a ComEd utility pole near a driveway on the 200 block of South Street, South Elgin. Damage was estimated at $5,000. The truck belonged to a contractor planting trees at the property.
