Briefs: New camera enforcement
Installation of camera-enforcement equipment began last week at Randall Road and Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills, and police expect the system will be working by Saturday. Once operational, the red-light camera will take pictures of vehicles that fail to obey red lights at Randall Road and Acorn Lane. Those motorists then will be mailed a ticket. The fine for a red-light violation caught on camera at Randall Road and Acorn Lane will be $100. A 30-day testing period of the camera system will take place before red-light violators are issued tickets, police said.
