Health-care renewal class: This class from 7 to 10 p.m. today at the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District is for people who need to renew their current Healthcare Provider cards. Those attending must present a current card. The cost for this two- to three-hour class is $50, including the book. Prepayment is required. Info: (630) 353-3030.

Health-care provider: Those working in the health-care industry such as nurses and paramedics who need CPR health-care provider certification for their employment may take a class Sunday at the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District. CPR class: Lisle-Woodridge Fire District offers a CPR class for Family and Friends from 7 to 10 p.m. Dec. 12. The class covers signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and choking in adults, as well signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of sudden infant death syndrome and prevention of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. The course is intended for lay rescuers and does not meet requirements for CPR employment certification. Free for district residents and $20 for nonresidents. Info: (630) 353-3030.
