DuPage Art League offers handmade holiday gifts at annual sale

The work of 70 DuPage Art League artists will be featured at Yuletide Treasures during November and December at the league gallery, 218 W. Front St., Wheaton.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and Saturday.

Jan Dunteman, vice-president of exhibits, said there are some unique gift ideas, with the bulk of prices under $75.

"Some of the handmade ornaments are extra special and very affordable for gifts," she said.

Other gift ideas she suggested are the pottery, a huge collection of soy candles notable because they create no smoke, homey and unique painted furniture, and unusual wood products such as personal items and puzzles.

Dunteman added all the jewelry is handmade.
