All programs will be held in the library Meeting Room, unless otherwise noted.

Computer Basics: "Computer Basics/Intro to Internet" is a two-part class for adults from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Participants must attend both sessions and have a valid library card to register.

Library closing: The library will close at 1 p.m. on Friday for staff development.

Holiday Drop-in Craft: Stop by the Storytime Room Sunday through Dec. 8 and decorate a paper plate wreath for the holiday season. For all ages.

Monthly Movie & Popcorn: See "Mona Lisa Smile" starring Julia Roberts at 1 p.m. Dec. 6. For ages 18 and up.

History Book Discussion: Discuss "Rising from the Rails: Pullman Porters and the Making of the Black Middle Class" by Larry Tye from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 6.

Girls Read: The group will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 8 to discuss "Shug" by Jenny Han. This group is for girls ages 10 and up with a guest.

Guys Read: The group will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11 to discuss "Far North" by Will Hobbs. This group is for boys ages 10 and up with a guest.

Anime Review Board: The next viewing of the Anime Board Review will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13.

Holiday Stamping: Make winter and holiday cards and other items using supplies provided from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 15. This program is free and limited to 25 participants. For ages 18 and up.

Radio Players Holiday: This professional group is back with a holiday-themed program to take patrons back to the age of live radio from 1 to 2 p.m. Dec. 16. Ages 10 and up.

Classic Literature Group: The Classic Literature Discussion Group will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 to discuss Sherlock Holmes mysteries by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Teens Read: Teens in ninth through 12th grade can discuss "The Looking Glass Wars" by Frank Beddor from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 18.

Kids' Holiday Program: "Christmas Capers with Dave Herzog's Marionettes" will be presented from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19. There is a $1 fee. Participants can have their picture taken with Santa.

E-mail notification: Patrons can register their e-mail addresses through the library's Web site and receive an e-mail notice when items are coming due or are overdue. Go to mchenrylibrary.org and click on the "My Account" link then on "Register My E-Mail Address," fill in the fields and submit.
