Vernon Hills death being probed

Police are investigating a 31-year-old woman's death after she was found unresponsive on the 2000 block of Inverness Drive in Vernon Hills Saturday.

Vernon Hills police responded to the address at 11:34 a.m., police said.

The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m. by Lake County coroner's office officials.

An autopsy for the woman is scheduled for this morning, Lake County Coroner Dr. Richard Keller said.

The woman's death is under investigation by the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force and Vernon Hills police.

Circumstances of her death or identity were not available Saturday, officials said.
