AHYBA Session II: The Arlington Heights Youth Basketball Association registration for Session II is now open. Session II pre-registration for fourth-, fifth-, seventh- and eighth-grade girls, seventh- and eighth-grade boys, and high school boys and girls, will continue through Saturday. Walk-in registration is offered for all age groups on Sunday prior to their evaluations.

All participants must be evaluated. Evaluations for Session II will be on Sunday at Prospect High School, 800 W. Kensington Road, Mount Prospect, according to the following schedule:

12:30 p.m.: Ninth- and 10th-grade boys

1:30 p.m.: 11th- and 12th-grade boys

2:30 p.m.: Fifth-grade girls

3:30 p.m.: Fourth-grade girls

4:30 p.m.: Seventh- and eighth-grade girls

5:30 p.m.: Seventh-grade boys

6:30 p.m.: Eighth-grade boys

There are currently openings for players at all age groups. Registration priority will be given to Arlington Heights residents.

Holiday tourney: The Art Jones Basketball Academy Sports, Inc. will hold its 18th Annual Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament at the Mount Prospect Lions Center, 411 S. Maple, Mount Prospect. The fifth- and sixth-grade boys brackets will run from Nov. 16 to 18, and the seventh- and eighth-grade boys' brackets run from Nov. 23 to 25.
