eBay Selling Basics -- An Overview: Learn the secrets to being an eBay "Power Seller" at 7:30 p.m. today, during this insightful 90-minute presentation led by Jack Waddick, eBay University Instructor and Education Specialist. Tales From the Front: The library will honor the courage and sacrifices of all who have served in the U.S. armed services at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, when it hosts a panel of veterans from Mount Prospect VFW Post 1337.

The panel consists of David Johnson (served in the European Theater of Operations, World War II); Howard Richardson (Asian Theater of Operations, World War II); Bill Starr (Vietnam, Bosnia and Kosovo); George B. Lampere, Ph.D. (Vietnam); and John "Dutch" DeGroot (Vietnam, war on terrorism).

Panel members will share their individual experiences serving in uniform and discuss why they volunteered to put their lives on the line in defense of their country.

Movie Discussion: Audiovisual Coordinator John McInnes hosts a complimentary screening and discussion of a feature film, 6:30-9 p.m., Wednesday.

Due to a restrictive marketing agreement, the library is prohibited from reporting the title of this film in media aimed at the general public.

Cookies & More With the Library Board: Drop by for refreshments and an informal chat with a Mount Prospect Public Library board member at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday. This format offers patrons an opportunity to discuss thoughts, ideas, and suggestions about library programs and services. No registration is required.

Create-a-Craft: Children of all ages will display their creative side from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, during this drop-in arts and crafts program. The library will supply all materials. An adult must accompany children under the age of nine. No registration is required.

Coffee & Conversation: Coffee & Conversation, the library's monthly current events discussion group, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday. This moderated discussion strives to encourage greater understanding of diverse viewpoints and offers a venue where people can participate in honest discussion. Sex, Murder and Genealogy: The library welcomes experienced genealogist Mike Karsen for a 10 a.m., Saturday presentation focusing on the fascinating true story of Dora Feldman McDonald, who was at the center of a major scandal in Chicago at the beginning of the 20th century. Using genealogical research techniques, Karsen will help attendees discover what happened to this woman later in life. To register, visit online or call.

Book Voyagers -- Fall, Fabulous Fall: Book Voyagers' November program, held from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Nov. 19, lets children in grades one through three share what they love best about autumn while enjoying stories, a craft, a video, and a snack. "Lost" Mount Prospect: The library's monthly Senior Session will feature Mount Prospect Historical Society Executive Director Gavin Kleespies, who will lead a program designed to unearth a greater understanding of Mount Prospect's history at 1:30 p.m., Nov. 20.

Kleespies' presentation will include historic photographs of important structures from the village's past. Discussion will focus on how the village's rich history serves as a bridge to current events and the Mount Prospect of today.

Gift of Reading Program: Give the Gift of Reading this holiday season by donating new or like-new unwrapped books for local children in need, ages 6 and under. Donations of books in English and Spanish are greatly appreciated. This year's program runs Nov. 19 through Dec. 16. Call (847) 253-5675.

Asthma: Join Dr. Donald Morales at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 20, for an overview of treatment options available to help control asthma.
