Glendale Hts. police seek shooting suspect
Glendale Heights police are looking for the driver of a dark-colored Buick that may have been involved in a weekend shooting.
Police responded at 12:47 a.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Opal Avenue after a report of gunshots being fired, officials said.
No one was injured, but a vehicle and home had been struck by bullets, police said.
Investigators said they believe the shooting wasn't a random incident.
"It's a serious matter, and investigators have been working on it throughout the weekend," Deputy Police Chief Tom Bialas said Monday.
Glendale Heights police are seeking assistance from the public in attempting to locate the newer-model, dark-colored Buick that last was seen driving slowly west on Stevenson Drive, near Opal Avenue.
"If anybody saw or heard anything, it would lead us to making an apprehension in this," Bialas said. "Our goal is to catch the offenders."
Anyone with information is asked to call Glendale Heights police at (630) 260-6000.
