Caroline Rhea's humor to wow Raue
Comedienne Caroline Rhea's fresh and smart approach will have you in stitches. She appears at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Oct. 20 at Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake.
Known to audiences for her television role as Aunt Hilda in "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch," as host of "The Biggest Loser" and numerous appearances on "MTVs Half-Hour Comedy Hour," "Comic Strip Live" and "Caroline's Comedy Hour," Rhea's lively humor is a hit.
"We are excited to welcome Rhea to Raue Center this fall," said Richard Kuranda, executive director for Raue Center. "She's unpredictable, witty and very smart."
"This is a great opportunity to see one of America's funniest comics."
Rhea was last seen in a one hour stand up special, part of Bravo's "Funny Girls," titled "Rhea's Anatomy" which aired on Halloween 2006.
Other credits include hosting "The Caroline Rhea Show"; being a regular guest on Whoopi Goldberg's "Hollywood Squares"; playing Drew Carey's girlfriend on "The Drew Carey Show"; the made for television movie "Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire"; "Pride and Joy" on NBC; and hosting Comedy Central's "Pulp Comic," "Comic Relief 8" and "HBO's One Night Stand 2005."
She also appeared in the pilot of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," written by Larry David.
Raue Center is at 26 N. Williams St., in Crystal Lake.
