Algonquin

• An Algonquin man was accused of drunken driving at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Route 62 and Sandbloom Road, police said. Robert D. Regan, 50, of 320 Summit St., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, improper turn and no proof of insurance, police said. Regan was released after he posted $100 and his driver's license. His court date was scheduled for Dec. 5 in Woodstock.

• A 14-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at 4 p.m. Thursday at Target, 750 S. Randall Road, and charged with retail theft, police said. He was released to the custody of his mother.

Elgin

• An Elgin driver blasted his Ford Explorer through a fence on North Gifford Street and smashed into a parked car -- which then hit an aboveground swimming pool at 3:30 a.m. Friday, police said. Martin Morales, 36, of 410 N. Gifford St., was charged with criminal damage to property, reckless driving, failure to stop when emerging from a private drive, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving on the sidewalk, improper backing and no insurance, police said. Morales posted a $1,000 personal recognizance bond and got a Nov. 9 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An Elgin man was accused of burglarizing a car at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 18 on the 900 block of Stephen Avenue, police said. Andrew S. Quezada, 18, of 1723 Maple Lane, Apt. 2, was charged Friday with attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal damage to property, police said. Quezada posted $500 bond and was given a Nov. 9 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• A woman broke bottles and yelled at people at 3;15 p.m. Thursday on the 0-100 block of South State Street, then hit a police officer on his lower lip, kicked him in the leg and tried to bite other officers on their arms, police said. Margarita Feliciano, 62, who is homeless, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal trespass to property and disorderly conduct, police said. Feliciano's bond was set at $50,000 and she was taken to the Kane County jail Friday. She is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 9 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
