Officials release image of masked Glendale Hts. robber

Authorities Monday released security camera images of a man who last week robbed a Glendale Heights bank.

The FBI and Glendale Heights police are searching for the suspect who took an undisclosed amount of cash about 6:35 p.m. Friday from the TCF Bank branch at 567 North Ave.

The masked man entered the front door of the bank and ordered everyone inside to get on the floor. He then approached a teller and demanded money.

Police said the man never implied he had a weapon and didn't display one.

No one was injured.

The man last was seen fleeing on foot south on Glen Ellyn Road, officials said.

Witnesses described the robber as a 25- to 35-year-old man standing between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.

The robber was wearing a blue ski mask, a blue Adidas jacket, black gloves, dark pants, white athletic shoes and a black and white backpack, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (630) 505-5755 or Glendale Heights police at (630) 260-6070.
