Teen Filmmakers needed: Teen filmmakers have a chance to have their short movie creations shown on the big screen at the Wauconda Area Library's Sixth Annual Teen Fall Film Festival. Videos on DVD or VHS format need to be submitted by Friday. The Teen Film Fest will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 6. All films win awards and prizes. For seventh grade and up. Teen Advisory Board: Teen Advisory Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday to plan the sixth annual Teen Fall Film Festival at the Wauconda Area Library. Participants can write the script, help determine the awards, and even present awards at the Teen Film Fest. Pizza will be served. Register in advance. For seventh grade and older.
The Benefit of Oils: Connie Bynam of Serenity Health Resources will present the program "Aromatherapy In Everyday Use" at 7 p.m. Nov. 1. Discover ways to incorporate the use of essential oils and aromatherapy for physical and mental well-being. This program is free of charge and open to the public.
Babysitting Class: Registration is open for the American Red Cross Babysitter Training Class to be held at the Wauconda Area Library. Earn a Red Cross Babysitter Card in just one day and learn how to be a responsible baby-sitter from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3. For ages 11 and up. Registration must be made in person. There is a fee of $30, due at the time of registration at the Adult Services Reference Desk at the Wauconda Area Library. Class size is limited.
