Metropolis hosts Artist Outreach
The fall 2007 Artist Outreach hosted by the Arlington Heights Arts Commission will be Thursday at the Metropolis Foyer, 111 W. Campbell St., Arlington Heights. Get acquainted with local artists as well as Arts Commissioners. Rapture discussed at poetry workshop
The Northwest Cultural Council will host its Second Saturday Poetry Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the NWCC and Kimball Hill Galleries, 5999 New Wilke Road, Rolling Meadows. Fundraiser Oct. 17 to aid senior center
The Rolling Meadows Senior Center Dining Out Fund Raiser for October will be held at Max & Erma's, Northpoint Shopping Center, 306 E Rand Road, Arlington Heights on Oct. 17.

Sunrise hosts grand opening
The grand opening of Assisted Living and Reminiscence Neighborhoods at Church Creek, a Sunrise Senior Living Community, will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 18 at 1250 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. The assisted living facility offers living spaces, meals, social activities, transportation, and personalized assistance and care. Motivational coach to speak Oct. 20
The North Region Jaycees in conjunction with the Hoffman Estates Jaycees will host a presentation by motivational speaker Lori Rhodes of Mana Coaching and Seminars at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at Campanelli YMCA, 300 W. Wise Road, Schaumburg. Cost is $5 for Jaycees and $10 for non-Jaycees.
