Check out senior center offerings

See what the Schaumburg Park District's Senior Center has to offer at the Newcomer's Welcome, scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Tuseday at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road.

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, featuring activities such as card games, pool, bocce, shuffleboard, horseshoes, table tennis and bingo. Also available are free health clinics, a Rules of the Road refresher course, senior yoga, aqua fitness and strength training.

Seniors may join day trips and tours to theaters, festivals, historical sites and casinos organized by the center, with travel provided in the district's luxury coach bus.
