Hoffman Estates

• An in-dash stereo was stolen between 7:15 p.m. Aug. 28 and 9:15 a.m. Aug. 29 from a 1997 Chevy Cavalier parked on the 1900 block of Kenilworth Circle. The stereo was valued at $400.

• Three bicycles were stolen between 4 and 8 p.m. Aug. 29 from the patio of a home on the 1900 block of Hancock. The bikes were valued at $410.

• Michael P. George, 27, of 4211 W. 135th St. in Crestwood was charged with theft Aug. 28 after he was accused of stealing two spools of aluminum wiring from a construction site on the 4700 block of West Higgins Road, police said. The wiring was valued at $4,000. George was being held on $30,000 bond with a Sept. 28 court date.

Schaumburg

• A 2007 Chevy Trailblazer was scratched between noon and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 27 while it was parked in one of the Woodfield Shopping Center parking lots. The damage was estimated at $500.

• A 1996 Acura Integra was stolen between 10 p.m. Aug. 27 and 5 a.m. Aug. 28 from the 1800 block of Grove Avenue. The Acura was valued at $4,000.
